Hey - Aanii, I'm Jessica, born and raised on Manitoulin Island (Mnidoo Mnising) ancestral lands of the Anishinaabek. Living here is truly magical and has shaped who I am. From my first summer job in tourism connecting with people, to continuing to share how unique the island is with its epic views, vibrant culture, nature and our simplistic way of life.
MyManitoulin all started in August 2015 as an Instagram page - a space to share Manitoulin moments, connect over island life, slow mornings and dockside chats that slowly became something more. Five years ago, we dropped our first line of locally inspired merch and have grown through markets, building this website, curated holiday gift boxes, pop-up markets and even fundraising over $3K for CAMH.
After taking a step back when life got heavy, MyManitoulin was never far, and always calling me back.
This year marks 10 years of showing up online. This summer we're back with new merch drops that are made to capture lazy summer afternoons, dips in the crystal clear freshwater, and nights wrapped in a hoodies around the fire, boat hair and all.
Whether you've been here since day one or just found MyManitoulin - thank you. For loving the same place, being part of the community and making this little dream of mine feel like something much bigger.
